About the Role Supporting Complex Needs As an ALN Teaching Assistant, you will help pupils access learning and daily activities in a safe, calm and supportive environment. You may support pupils with: Severe AutismProfound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)Complex communication needs (non–verbal pupils)Sensory processing needsPhysical or medical needs Your daily responsibilities may include: Providing 1:1 or small group supportSupporting communication using visuals, symbols or assistive communication toolsHelping pupils with personal care and mobility if requiredSupporting sensory activities and sensory regulationHelping pupils take part in learning, play and life skillsWorking closely with teachers, therapists and support staffCreating a calm, predictable and structured environment Essential Requirements To apply for this ALN Teaching Assistant role, you must have: At least 6 months experience supporting children or young people with additional needsExperience in SEND schools, care work, support work, or youth workA patient, nurturing and calm approachStrong spoken and written EnglishThe right to work in the UKA 5–year employment history with any gaps explainedTwo years of references, including one from education or careAn Enhanced DBS check (and overseas police checks if needed) Why Work With Us?
