The Barbican is Europe's largest multi-arts and conference venue presenting a diverse range of art, music, theatre, dance, film, and education events. The Guildhall School of Music & Drama is a vibrant, international community of young musicians, actors, and production artists in the heart of the City of London. We produce outstanding graduates whose talents light up stages and concert platforms throughout the world.
In this role of IT Team Administrator, you’ll play a key role in providing administrative support to our two busy IT departments. With your excellent oral and written communication skills, you will have excellent customer service skills and be a team player with the ability to multi-task. A genuine interest in Information Technology would also be of advantage as would experience of intranet administration. You will possess a high degree of proficiency with the Microsoft Sharepoint packages and working with databases, along with experience of:
- undertaking IT projects using Agile Project Management methodology
- planning, designing, delivering and assessing training for individuals and large groups in the use of specialist software, and have a desire to further develop in this area
- Experience of writing and updating software guidance/training manuals.
Days of work will be on Monday and Tuesday, and then either a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday.
We offer a wide range of staff benefits including a great pension scheme, season ticket, cycle to work scheme, tickets to Barbican events, free access to museums and galleries, discounts on retail, healthcare and on-site cafes and restaurants. You will also have access to an Employee Assistance Programme, trained Mental Health First aiders and City of London staff networks.
As part of our commitment to increasing the diversity of staff within the Barbican we are particularly keen to encourage applications from people from groups that are currently underrepresented, including people from the Global Majority* and D/deaf and disabled people. We want to better reflect and understand the communities we exist to serve. We are members of the Disability Confident Scheme and guarantee to interview all disabled candidates who would like to be considered under this scheme and who meet the minimum essential criteria for the role. If you are a disabled person and need adjustments to the application process please contact us.
