A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a 26-year-old female, who is a first time mum. I live with my family in Llantwit Fadre. I have a diagnosis of Muscular dystrophy, a rare progressive muscle wasting condition. This means I now struggle with daily tasks around the house, the physical lifting of my daughter who is 1 years old, and getting out of the house.

I enjoy going out for coffee, taking my daughter to soft play, going for walks, and going shopping.

PLACE OF WORK

Within my home in Llantwit Fadre and the local community

HOURS OF WORK

18 hours per week, over two days a week (Wednesday and Friday). 8am - 5pm.

RATE OF PAY

£15.50 p/h

TASKS INVOLVED

• Supporting with household tasks such as, laundry, preparing food, cleaning
• Lifting my daughter when required. E.g: into her highchair, into bed for a nap, into her car seat, etc
• Assisting me to get out of the house and attend shops, soft play, walks etc
• Attending family, health and wellbeing appointments as required
• Providing practical support as and when required to help me fulfil my parenting role
• Promote my daughter’s wellbeing through community engagement and age-appropriate activities

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

• Female preferred due the element of personal care with my daughter
• Someone with initiative and confidence to be able to get on with tasks around the house.
• Experience with young children
• A friendly and non-judgmental person
• Some who will support me to be an independent mother
• Driver with access to own car
