F2 Recruitment is recruiting a reliable Yard Operative for an established industrial recycling business in Trafford Park.

This is a hands-on, physical role suited to someone comfortable working outdoors, getting stuck into manual work and looking for a long-term position.

Pay and benefits

• £12.94 per hour, with a higher pay rate available for candidates with an FLT licence.
• 37.5 paid hours per week.
• Weekly pay through 100% PAYE — no umbrella companies.
• Holiday pay accrued separately.

The work

• Handling and processing large IBC containers, drums, paint tins and other industrial containers.
• Washing, cutting, shredding and preparing materials for recycling.
• Operating an industrial shredder and other machinery following training.
• Keeping the yard clean, organised and safe.
• Working outdoors and in open warehouse areas throughout the year.

Containers may hold residues including chemicals, paint, ink, dye and food products. This can be dirty, repetitive work involving regular manual handling, so you must be comfortable in an industrial yard environment.

Hours

• Monday–Friday: 06:00–14:00.
• Additional Saturday work may be available, usually 06:00–12:00, with the rate confirmed before the shift.

What you’ll need

• Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude.
• A willingness to learn, follow safety instructions and work as part of a team.
• Comfort with physical work and outdoor conditions.
• Previous yard, recycling, waste or industrial experience would be beneficial.
• An FLT licence is beneficial, but not essential, and attracts a higher pay rate.
