About the role
Teaching Assistant (KS1/KS2) | Full Time | Maternity Cover
Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:45–3:15 (term time only)Contract: Temporary (May/June 2026 – up to July 2027)
We are seeking a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to support pupils in KS1 or KS2, working 1:1 and in small groups to help raise achievement in a primary school in Cambridge.
The role includes:
Supporting learning and pupil development
Working with children with additional needs (e.g. ASD, SEMH, EAL)
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
The ideal candidate:
Has experience or interest in primary education
Is supportive, patient and team-focused
Has high expectations for pupils
