- Working with advisers to clarify information and identify anything further that is needed.
- Researching providers, funds and investment solutions, including charges, performance and risk information.
- Using systems such as Dynamic Planner and FE Analytics to support investment research and analysis.
- Producing quotations and illustrations through provider platforms, Assureweb and IRESS.
- Preparing cash-flow projections in line with the firm's established guidance.
- Drafting suitability reports using the available fact-find information, adviser notes and research.
- Working with financial advisers to obtain approval and finalise recommendations.
- Responding to feedback from file checking and completing any required remedial work.
- Maintaining accurate records and following internal processes, compliance requirements and regulatory standards.
- Protecting client confidentiality and handling sensitive information with the appropriate level of care.
- Contributing ideas and feedback that could improve the paraplanning service and wider processes.
- Keeping your technical knowledge current through relevant CPD and ongoing professional development.
What are we looking for?
- Level 4 CII or equivalent, with a desire to progress towards Level 6.
- At least two years’ experience within financial services.
- Previous paraplanning experience and an understanding of the advice process.
- Experience using financial services back-office systems.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail, including written presentation, grammar, formatting and accuracy.
- The ability to research information thoroughly and turn it into clear, well-structured recommendations.
- Good planning, organisation and time-management skills.
- A practical approach to problem solving.
