SEND Teaching Assistant | Kitts Green, Birmingham (B33)

Are you a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can help pupils feel confident, included and ready to learn?

Long Term Futures are recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Kitts Green, Birmingham (B33). This long-term role is ideal for someone with previous experience supporting pupils with additional needs, or for a Teaching Assistant keen to develop their SEND experience in a supportive school environment.

You’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure pupils receive the care, encouragement and structure they need to thrive.

Location: Kitts Green, Birmingham (B33)
Pay: £105–£115 per day
Start Date: 5 January 2025
Contract: Long-term | Term-time only

The Role – SEND Teaching Assistant

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups with a range of additional needs

• Help adapt classroom activities to suit individual learning styles

• Encourage communication, confidence and positive engagement

• Support emotional regulation and social development

• Help maintain a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment

• Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and wider support staff

This Role Would Suit You If You:

• Have experience working with children or young people in a school or care setting

• Are confident supporting pupils with SEND or additional needs

• Bring a calm, patient and reliable approach

• Enjoy working as part of a team and building positive relationships

• Want a role where you can make a genuine difference
