£35,000 per annum Wakefield Permanent Hours are 9-5 Monday to Thursday (1 hour lunch) and 9-3 on Friday (1/2 hour lunch) 25 days per yearThe Role
End-to-end management of c. 150 payroll schemes
Mix of small payrolls and larger, well-supported schemes
Payroll Manager as the primary system
One direct report, plus accountant/bookkeeper support when needed
Strong client contact with local and national businesses
Hands-on, collaborative culture during peak periods
Practice experience is desirable, but experienced industry payroll professionals with a strong multi-scheme background (200+ payrolls) will also be considered.
What We’re Looking For
Solid payroll experience (practice or industry)
Confident managing payrolls independently and meeting deadlines
Good working knowledge of payroll legislation
Professional, organised, and comfortable dealing with clients
Payroll Manager experience beneficial but not essential
