SEN Learning Support Assistant - Castle Point, EssexSEN Learning Support Assistant - Castle Point, EssexFull-Time | September 2026 Start | Long-Term OpportunityTradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Castle Point area of Essex from September 2026.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant or someone with relevant experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).The RoleAs an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the school's SEN team to provide tailored support to pupils who require additional help with their learning, development and wellbeing.Your responsibilities will include:Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SENSupporting pupils to access the curriculum and participate fully in lessonsHelping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skillsSupporting children with a range of additional needsEncouraging positive behaviour and engagementImplementing individual learning and support strategiesWorking closely with teachers and the SENCO to meet pupils' needsSupporting pupils with their emotional and social developmentHelping to create a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environmentMonitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staffThe Ideal CandidateThe school is looking for someone who is patient, caring, resilient and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential.Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
