Mechanical Technician Power Station Up to GBP48,000 + benefits Gloucestershire SCINERGY Recruitment are recruiting for a Mechanical Technician to join the maintenance department of an energy from waste power station near Gloucester. This role focuses on delivering safe, reliable mechanical maintenance across the plant, supporting availability, efficiency and long–term asset performance. The successful candidate will work closely with operations and engineering teams to ensure all mechanical equipment is maintained to a high standard. The role will involve: Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on rotating and static plant equipmentMaintenance and overhaul of pumps, valves, gearboxes, conveyors, compressors and associated systemsCarrying out fault–finding, defect rectification and first–line repairsCompleting maintenance activities in line with site procedures, permits and isolation requirementsUpdating maintenance records and work orders within the CMMSSupporting outages and shutdown activities as requiredWorking alongside specialist contractors and equipment vendorsMaintaining high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance and housekeeping To be considered for this role, you should have: A recognised mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) with a completed apprenticeshipExperience working in an industrial or process environment such as power generation, steel, chemical, paper or marine engineering from the NavyStrong mechanical fault–finding and maintenance experienceAbility to work independently and as part of a multi–disciplinary site teamA strong understanding of safe systems of work and permit–to–work procedures What s on offer: Competitive salary up to GBP48,000Company pension25 days holiday + BHOvertimeOngoing training and developmentThe opportunity to join the growing EFW sector For further information or to apply please contact Steve Utton at SCINERGY Recruitment on (phone number removed) or (url removed)
