Job Introduction
We’re looking for a highly capable and forward-thinking Automation & Facilities Manager to lead the 24/7 Automation and Facilities function at our state-of-the-art Omega Distribution Centre, located at the Omega Business Park.
Omega is one of the UK's most advanced automated logistics operations, supported by significant investment in cutting-edge automation and material flow technology in partnership with WITRON. Reporting to the Head of Automation & Engineering, you will lead a large multi-functional team responsible for automation performance, facilities management, technical cleaning, maintenance delivery, and operational continuity across the site.
Working alongside experienced technical and operational teams, you'll drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring our infrastructure, automation systems, and facilities operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. You will play a pivotal role in shaping operational performance, developing people capability, managing key service providers, and delivering strategic initiatives that support the continued growth and success of the operation.
Job Overview
- Leadership & People Management - Lead and develop the Automation, Facilities, and Technical Cleaning teams, creating a high-performance culture focused on safety, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Automation & Asset Performance - Oversee the performance, reliability, and lifecycle management of Omega's advanced automation systems, working closely with WITRON and internal engineering teams to maximise uptime and operational efficiency.
