Salary: £40,000 DOE
Location: Somerton, Somerset
Working Pattern: Full-time, office-based
Firm: Small, local accountancy practice

The Role

A small, local accountancy practice in Somerton is looking for an Accounts Manager to join their team.

This is a varied role managing client relationships and overseeing accounts and tax work, while supporting the day-to-day running of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and act as their main point of contact

• Prepare and review accounts and tax returns

• Oversee VAT returns and other compliance work

• Build and maintain strong client relationships

• Support and guide junior team members where required

• Ensure work is completed accurately and within deadlines

About You

• Experience working within an accountancy practice

• Strong accounts and tax knowledge

• Confident managing client relationships and a portfolio

• Organised, proactive and able to manage deadlines

• ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
