Driver Hire Edinburgh West are looking for a friendly and reliable Minibus Driver to support a local passenger transport service based in Bathgate.
The role involves transporting older passengers between their homes and local day centres, ensuring they enjoy a safe, comfortable and pleasant journey.
This is a great opportunity for a driver who enjoys working with people and is looking for additional weekday work with flexible shift availability.
🚐 What You’ll Be Doing
- Safely transport passengers between their homes and local day centres.
- Help passengers feel comfortable and offer assistance where needed.
- Provide a friendly, patient and professional service.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Ensure the minibus is kept clean and roadworthy.
- Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.
⏰ Working Hours
This is an ad hoc position, with no guaranteed hours.
Typical shift times are:
- 🌅 Morning: Approximately 8:00am–10:00am.
- 🌤️ Afternoon: Approximately 2:00pm–4:00pm.
Shifts are available Monday to Friday, depending on service requirements.
📋 Essential Requirements
- Full Category D1 driving licence with no 101 restriction.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- PVG Disclosure dated within the last 3 years.
- No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only).
- No CD, DD, DR or IN endorsements.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, considerate and professional attitude.
- Reliable, punctual and responsible.
💷 Pay & Benefits
- £13.50 per hour.
