Description
The Management Accountant's responsibilities will cover:
- Prepare monthly management accounts to give stakeholders a clear view of financial performance.
- Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile key balance sheet accounts.
- Produce regular financial reports and explain key movements in income and costs.
- Support budget preparation and update forecasts using current financial information.
- Review expenditure and identify practical ways to improve cost control.
- Work with colleagues across the business to gather information for reporting and planning.
- Improve accounting processes to make reporting more accurate and efficient.
- Help maintain reliable financial data for the Accounting & Finance team.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Ability to reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Confidence interpreting financial information and explaining key findings clearly.
- Good attention to detail when reviewing financial data and reports.
- Ability to manage priorities and deliver work to agreed deadlines.
