These are welcoming schools that value their support staff, and they are close to home, so you can work in your own community without a long commute. Key responsibilities Support classroom teachers in delivering lessons Work with individual pupils, small groups or whole classes Support pupils' learning, progress and behaviour Promote pupils' wellbeing and help maintain a safe, positive and inclusive classroom Follow each school's policies, including safeguarding Requirements Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a school setting A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, or equivalent) Living in or near Belper, Ripley or the surrounding area Reliable, caring and confident working with children Right to work in the UK What we offer Pay of GBP93 to GBP120 per day, depending on experience Term–time only, so you have school holidays off Day–to–day or long–term work, whichever suits you Regular work with a growing number of schools in your area A friendly, supportive team who know the local schools and look after our staff Safer recruitment Empowering Learning is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
