What?
You'll? Do:
You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old.?They're?a joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leather?seats?and many more optional extras to make sure?you're?comfortable.
Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day which typically start at 7/8am. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance where?you'll?be driving, taking the stress out of your day.
Key Role Responsibilities
We?don't?micromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. The average number of stops in a shift is 4 to 6, so?there's?plenty of time to enjoy being out on the open road - but?you'll?still be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift.
You'll?make sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others,?you'll?need to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.
You'll?be responsible for?inspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.

Class 1 Driving licence
Driver CPC qualification card
Completed required DCPC training hours or be working towards them
Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws - and commitment to safe use of the roads
