HR Advisor

An excellent opportunity has become available to join a fantastic business in Darlington as their HR Advisor.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers throughout the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to end of employment.
• Support managers with low to medium level Employee Relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and absence management processes.
• Monitor sickness absence across the business and provide reports and guidance to managers in line with company policy.
• Deliver HR training and coaching to management teams, both virtually and face-to-face, to support effective people management.
• Assist managers with performance management processes, including appraisals and review discussions.
• Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and compliance requirements, including right-to-work checks and employment screening.
• Produce HR reports and metrics, maintain accurate employee records and provide general HR administrative support to ensure effective HR service delivery.

They will have:

• CIPD Level 5, or equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience of working in a HR Generalist role.
• Confident in knowledge of ER and Employment Law with the ability to communicate policy at grassroots level.
• Excellent organisational and IT skills, with the ability to present confidently.
• A team player with the ability to work closely and collaboratively with colleagues, the wider business.
• Desire to travel, with overnight stays (UK only).
• Willing to be vetted in line with BS:7858.

This is a full time, permanent position. (onsite Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm) - there may be some flexibility in the start and finish times for the role.
