Platform Engineering Lead
- 6 Months

We're looking for a Platform Engineering Lead to join a major cloud transformation programme, taking ownership of a business-critical platform built on AWS, EKS, Terraform and GitOps.
You'll lead a small team of engineers while remaining hands-on, driving platform reliability, security, automation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Platform Engineers.
- Own platform operations, production readiness, DR testing and incident management.
- Manage AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform and GitOps environments.
- Drive secure integrations using PKI, mTLS and OAuth2/OIDC.
- Define CI/CD standards, release controls and deployment pipelines.
- Produce ADRs and present solutions to architecture and governance boards.
- Manage platform roadmap, risks, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
- Strong AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform and GitOps experience.
- Technical leadership or team management background.
- Expertise in cloud security, networking, PKI and identity management.
- Experience supporting large-scale production platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Exposure to AI-assisted engineering beneficial.
