Warehouse Operative / Van Driver

Job Title: Warehouse Operative / Van Driver (Mixed Role) Location: Witham St Hughs (Lincoln) Pay Rate: 13.02 – 14.73 per hour Hours: Around 30 per week (Mon–Fri) Contract: Temporary Gi Group are recruiting for a reliable Warehouse Operative / Van Driver to join a busy operation supporting both warehouse duties and local multi–drop deliveries. This is a hands–on role, ideal for someone who's happy switching between picking/packing and driving as needed. Key Responsibilities Warehouse duties (primary): Picking and packing orders accurately to deadlinesGoods in/out: receiving deliveries, checking paperwork, stock put–awayLoading/unloading vehicles (manual handling involved)Stock control, labelling, and maintaining tidy storage areasUsing handheld scanners / warehouse systems (where required)Keeping the warehouse clean, safe, and compliant with H&S proceduresVan driving duties (as required): Completing local deliveries and collections in a company vanEnsuring deliveries are made on time with proof of delivery capturedPlanning routes efficiently and communicating delays when neededBasic vehicle checks (fuel, tyres, lights, cleanliness) and reporting defectsSafe loading of the van and securing items to prevent damage Required Experience & Skills Proven warehouse experience (picking/packing, goods in/out, loading)Proven van driving experience (commercial delivery experience preferred)Full UK driving licence (Category B) – essentialComfortable with manual handling and being on your feetGood attention to detail and accuracyStrong timekeeping and a dependable work ethicConfident communicating with colleagues and customers at delivery points How to Apply If you're looking for a new role and tick the criteria above, call Chris on (phone number removed) for a speedy response, or click Apply Now!
