You will need to supply your own safety boots.About the RoleOpus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Coventry City Council for Refuse Collectors on a temporary basis, to support the roll-out and collection of food waste bins across the city.This is a physically demanding outdoor role working as part of a team to deliver an essential environmental service. You will be responsible for collecting food waste bins from residential properties, ensuring collection routes are completed safely and efficiently while delivering a high standard of service to residents.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect food waste bins from residential properties across Coventry.Work as part of a collection crew to complete daily rounds safely and efficiently.Adhere to all health and safety procedures.Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with residents.Report any collection issues or operational concerns.Support the team in maintaining a clean, safe and professional service.EssentialAvailable to work during busy festive season.Reliable, punctual and hardworking.Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.Strong team player with a positive attitude.Good awareness of health and safety practices.DesirablePrevious experience in waste collection, recycling, environmental services, labouring or other manual outdoor roles.
