About the role
Are you passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential within learning and emotional development?
Tradewind are seeking a caring, proactive and enthusiastic SEN Learning Mentor to join a friendly SEN School in Towwer Hamlets.
As a Learning Mentor you will work closely with pupils, teachers and families to help children overcome barriers to learning. You will provide tailored support, build positive relationships and promote well-being across the school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health throughout the school
- Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions
- Work alongside Teachers to develop strategies that support learning and inclusion
- Promote positive behaviour
- Liaise with parents and carers whenever required
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a Secondary or SEN Setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to build relationships and act as a positive role model
- Empathy and patience where required
- Experience with promoting child development
