Durham January 2027 Flexible Day-to-Day / Short-Term Assignments Pay: £95 - £110 per day (PAYE) The Opportunity We are recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to support a number of welcoming secondary schools across the Durham This role is ideal for those wanting to gain valuable classroom experience, or for Qualified Teachers looking for flexible, local work. Your Key Responsibilities As a Cover Supervisor, you will: Deliver pre-set lesson plans in the absence of the regular teacher Maintain a positive learning environment and manage behaviour effectively Support students across a variety of subjects Work with pupils across KS3 - KS5 Be adaptable to both last-minute bookings and scheduled assignments across local schools Ideal Candidates We’d love to hear from you if you: Have experience working with young people (schools, youth work, coaching, etc.) Are confident in managing classroom behaviour Are flexible and comfortable covering different subjects Are a Cover Supervisor, aspiring teacher, trainee teachers What We Offer Weekly PAYE pay Guaranteed Work Scheme (GWS) Flexible working that fits around your lifestyle No evenings or weekend commitments Free CPD training (Behaviour Management, Safeguarding & SEND training) Clear progression opportunities into teaching Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
