Join the Culinary Team at Colchester United Football Club!
Are you a passionate chef ready to step into a role that blends culinary creativity with performance-driven purpose? At Colchester United Football Club, we’re looking for a talented and motivated individual to take the lead at our Florence Park Training Ground in Tiptree—where food isn’t just fuel, it’s a key part of our success.
Why This Role Is Special

As our Training Ground Chef, you’ll play a vital part in delivering nutritious, delicious meals that support the performance and wellbeing of our First Team, U21s, Academy players, and club staff. You’ll work closely with our Head of Catering and Head of Sports Science to develop menus that are both inspiring and impactful.
And there’s more—you’ll also get hands-on with matchday events at the stadium, assist with high-profile functions, and help shape the future of food at Colchester United.
Enjoy a better work-life balance with predominantly daytime shifts.

Build Strong Relationships – Engage positively with players, staff, and guests to provide outstanding dining experiences.
Ensure Health & Safety Compliance – Maintain rigorous food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Support Matchdays & Events – Bring your skills to the stadium during busy matchdays and club functions when needed.
What We’re Looking For:
Organised & Efficient – Able to juggle multiple responsibilities while keeping calm and collected.
Great Communicator – Confident in speaking with all levels of staff and adapting to different situations.
Driven & Self-Motivated – You bring the energy and focus, even in high-pressure moments.
Flexible – Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends, especially for matchdays and events.
Team-Focused & Positive – A proactive, “can-do” attitude is a must.
Committed to Quality – Passionate about creating food that inspires and performs.
