CCTV Operator

Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Plymouth-based business for a Nights CCTV Operative to join their Head Office team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Working within a busy Security Operations Centre, you will play a key role in monitoring security systems and supporting sites across the business.

The Role

Working as part of a dedicated team, you will be responsible for monitoring CCTV systems, responding to security incidents and alarms, maintaining accurate records and supporting the day-to-day operation of the Security Operations Centre.

This position operates on a 4-on, 4-off night shift rota, working 12-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV systems and identify potential security threats or incidents
• Respond to alarms, alerts and monitoring systems in line with procedures
• Investigate, manage and escalate incidents when required
• Liaise with sites, management teams and external agencies
• Provide clear communication and updates to relevant stakeholders
• Maintain accurate incident logs and complete associated reports
• Support the daily administration of the Security Operations Centre
• Assist with the development of processes and procedures
• Handle confidential information in accordance with company policies and data protection requirements
• Undertake other reasonable duties as required

About You

• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• A self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently
• Experience handling confidential information professionally
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
• Flexibility to work 12-hour night shifts on a 4-on, 4-off rota
