We're looking for a bright, enthusiastic and ambitious Finance Assistant to join our growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some existing transactional finance experience who is keen to learn, develop their skills and gradually take on more responsibility over time.
Working closely with the wider finance team, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of accounting duties and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Raising invoices and supporting sales ledger activities
• Setting up new customer accounts and resolving customer queries
• Assisting with quarterly VAT returns and VAT administration
• Processing employee expenses and company credit card claims
• Supporting monthly payroll and pension administration
• Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
• Assisting with reporting and general finance administration
• Providing ad hoc support to the wider finance team as required

Skills & Experience

• Experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable
• Exposure to bank reconciliations
• Good understanding of finance fundamentals and transactional accounting processes
• Basic to intermediate Excel skills, including
• VLOOKUP
• Pivot Table
• Filters
• Experience using accounting software would be advantageous
