Rowcroft Hospice
Location: Torquay, Devon
Salary: c£125,000 + excellent benefits
For more than 40 years, Rowcroft Hospice has supported people living with life-limiting illnesses and those closest to them. Each year, we provide expert, compassionate care to around 2,500 patients and families, wherever it is needed.
Our 2024-2030 strategy sets out an ambitious vision to support more than 3,000 people each year by 2030. As Chief Executive, you will lead the delivery of this vision, expanding access to care, embracing digital innovation, developing new models of service delivery and forging strategic partnerships that enhance both impact and sustainability.
You will oversee some of the most significant developments in Rowcroft’s history, including the remodelling of our hospice and inpatient facilities, new models of care and income generating initiatives that will help sustain our services for generations to come.
Working closely with the Board, you will lead and inspire our Executive Team, staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of ambition, innovation, collaboration and excellence, underpinned by our values of honesty, integrity, respect, teamwork and generosity of spirit. You will act as a visible ambassador for Rowcroft, building influential relationships across health, social care, business, philanthropy and the wider community.
We are seeking an exceptional and values-driven leader who combines strategic vision with commercial acumen, entrepreneurial flair and a proven ability to lead organisational growth and transformation. You will bring the insight and creativity to identify new opportunities, the confidence to navigate complexity and change, and a deep commitment to ensuring outstanding end-of-life care remains accessible to all who need it.
