Labourer (Temporary Contract)
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF4
Rate: £16.88 per hour
Hours: 08:00 - 16:00

Labourer Required - Wakefield
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Labourer to join a busy construction site in Wakefield. This is a hands-on role supporting the Site Manager and wider site team to ensure the project runs safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
The successful candidate will be reliable, hard-working, and experienced working within a construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Site cleaning and general housekeeping duties
- Loading and unloading materials and deliveries
- Clearing rubble and waste from work areas
- Assisting the Site Manager with day-to-day site activities
- Supporting trades and subcontractors as required
- Acting as a Banksman for plant and digger operations when required
- Ensuring site safety standards are maintained at all times
Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card (Essential)
- Previous experience working as a Labourer on construction sites
- Strong understanding of site health and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and physically fit
- Full PPE required:
- Safety Boots
- Hi-Vis Vest
- Hard Hat
Health & Safety
A full site induction will be provided on your first day, covering all relevant site health and safety procedures, welfare facilities, emergency arrangements, and fire evacuation processes.
