The Opportunity

TSR Legal is working with a respected and forward-thinking law firm in Solihull who are looking to appoint a Senior Litigation Paralegal to join their friendly and growing Litigation Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and motivated paralegal looking to take the next step in their career, with the opportunity to manage their own varied caseload, develop their technical expertise and play an active role in the continued growth of the department.

The role will involve handling a broad range of general civil litigation matters, including property litigation, contentious probate, debt recovery, contractual disputes and settlement agreements.

You will be confident managing matters independently, taking client instructions and providing practical support and advice, with appropriate supervision and guidance from a senior fee earner.

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to business development, marketing and networking activities, helping to raise the profile and support the ongoing development of the Litigation Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing your own varied caseload of general civil litigation matters.
• Handling matters involving property litigation, contentious probate, debt recovery, contractual disputes and settlement agreements.
• Taking initial enquiries, obtaining instructions and identifying how the firm can assist clients.
• Providing practical, commercially minded solutions to clients’ contentious matters.
• Liaising directly with clients, providing regular updates and maintaining excellent client relationships.
• Supporting other members of the Litigation Team and contributing to the development of the department.
• Assisting with marketing, networking and business development activities.
• Undertaking legal research and keeping up to date with relevant legislation and procedural developments.
• Ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and to a high standard.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience working within a Civil Litigation department, ideally at Senior Paralegal level.
• Experience managing a varied litigation caseload with a good degree of autonomy.
• Knowledge and experience across a range of civil litigation matters.
• Confidence handling client enquiries, taking instructions and managing client expectations.
• Excellent drafting, communication and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive, commercially aware and client-focused approach.
• The confidence to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.

Candidates who have followed alternative qualification routes or who are working towards a legal qualification will also be considered.
