The Role – CNC Programmer / SetterYou’ll play an important role in manufacturing precision components, taking ownership of CNC programming, setting and machining operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines and/or CNC lathes
  
  
• Proving out new programmes and making adjustments to achieve the required results
  
  
• Optimising machining cycles, tooling and processes to improve productivity
  
  
• Working with FANUC, HURCO or similar CNC control systems
  
  
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and tolerances
  
  
• Machining precision steel and duplex casting components
  
  
• Carrying out in-process inspections and maintaining high-quality standards
  
  
• Troubleshooting machining issues and supporting continuous improvement
  
  
• Working closely with colleagues across production and engineering
  
  

What we’re looking forWe’re keen to hear from experienced CNC Programmer Setters who can work confidently and independently within a precision engineering environment.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• At least 3 years’ CNC programming experience
  
  
• Experience in CNC milling, CNC turning or both
  
  
• The ability to programme, set, run and prove out jobs independently
  
  
• A strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and machining processes
  
  
• Experience with FANUC, HURCO or similar controls (advantageous, but not essential)
  
  
• A practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving
  
  
• A strong commitment to quality, accuracy and safe working practices
