Temporary Primary Teacher - Fixed Term until 20/12/2027Queensferry Primary SchoolSalary: £36,159 -£54,453Hours: 35 per week, 52 weeksAn exciting opportunity has arisen at Queensferry Primary School on a fixed term basis until December 2027. The post is suitable for an experienced, enthusiastic classroom practitioner who is motivated to provide the best learning and teaching experiences for our young children in Primary 1. Experience of working within a play-based environment will be essential. The role also involves contributing to the vibrant school community while bringing new ideas and skills to our school team. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent classroom practice with sound knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence and the skills to develop creative and inspiring play and learning experiences. They should have a strong understanding of the principles of nurture and Getting It Right For Every Child. Alongside this, knowledge and understanding of how we can remove barriers to progress and learning, and a range of interventions which support young people would be essential. Queensferry Primary School is a non-denominational school within the City of Edinburgh Council. It is situated within the historic Royal Burgh of Queensferry and on a school campus with two buildings. With a growing pupil roll, we currently have 20 primary classes and 5 nursery classes.
