The arranging support team, Care Direct Plus Southern are seeking a flexible and enthusiastic individual to join an evolving team, in a role which would suit a candidate with strong administrative and clerical skills. The Arranging Support Team Co-ordinator works as an integral part of sourcing the right packages of care for the people of Southern and Western Devon working alongside other health and social care professionals.
We are looking for applicants who are confident in communicating in a range of ways with our partners, service users and their families. You will communicate by telephone to negotiate on behalf of people in difficult or urgent situations, whilst ensuring accurate information is recorded and provided to external providers and care managers to support clients to live safely.
You will be confident with ICT, have excellent time-management skills with an attention to detail, and be able to work efficiently under pressure. An ability and willingness to learn this high paced and varied role is crucial and you will be self-motivated whilst being adaptable to change. You will be able to manage your work both individually and as part of a team. You will be committed to equality and diversity, good customer service, and above all else, to achieving personalised outcomes for vulnerable people. Experience in health or social care is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided to allow you to complete the role.
Devon County Council has a proven track record of investing in its adult social care workforce, supporting individuals’ developmental opportunities such as apprenticeships in social work, occupational therapy, business administration, leadership and management. The role of an Arranging Support Team Co-ordinator could be your perfect opportunity to enter the evolving adult social care sector.
The Arranging Support Team Co-ordinator role will work across the week Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Contract includes Saturday working on a staff rotation basis. However, this rotation is currently stood down except some bank holidays/Christmas weekends. Previously this was on average 1 Saturday every 17 weeks, though this may be subject to change to meet the needs of the service.
For an informal discussion please contact Nathan Ronchetti, [email removed].
