Night shift for the first 12 months

The successful candidate will work a night-shift pattern for the first 12 months of employment, with the working pattern reviewed after this period.

Working hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 5:00pm - 1:30am
• Friday: 4:30pm - 11:30pm

The role offers a £45,000 basic salary plus a 25% night-shift allowance, providing earnings in the region of £55,000 whilst working nights.

Working closely with senior management, you will have responsibility for production planning, labour management, quality, health & safety and operational efficiency. The Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing daily production activities to ensure delivery against production schedules
• Planning labour and resources to meet operational requirements
• Monitoring output, productivity and performance targets
• Leading and developing production teams to achieve operational objectives
• Leading daily team briefings and maintaining clear communication across the operation
• Identifying and resolving production issues that could impact delivery deadlines
• Ensuring the availability of materials, equipment and resources required for production
• Managing attendance, performance and employee development
• Supporting training and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintaining high standards of quality, health & safety and operational compliance
• Producing operational updates and reporting progress to senior management
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure production objectives are achieved
• Driving continuous improvement across production performance, quality, safety and efficiency

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Senior Production Supervisor experience
• Experience leading teams within a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong production planning and resource management experience
• Experience managing and developing production teams
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
• The ability to drive performance whilst maintaining quality and safety standards
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A proactive, hands-on management style
• Experience supporting employee development and continuous improvement initiatives
• A strong understanding of health & safety within a manufacturing environment

Experience within engineering, assembly, fabrication or similar manufacturing environments would be advantageous, although strong transferable manufacturing leadership experience will also be considered.
