Do you enjoy helping children overcome challenges, develop new skills and feel more confident in the classroom? We're looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work in mainstream primary schools across the Rochester and Medway area.

You'll play an important part in the school day, helping pupils get involved in lessons, understand their work and feel supported in their learning. You'll also work closely with teaching staff to make sure children receive the guidance they need.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with classroom tasks and learning activities.

• Giving pupils extra help when they find work difficult.

• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive interactions.

• Helping maintain a calm and productive learning environment.

• Supporting teachers with the needs of the class.

• Working across KS1 and KS2, depending on the school's requirements.

Who would suit this role?

We're keen to hear from people who are patient, dependable and genuinely interested in supporting children's education. Being able to adapt to different classrooms, communicate well with staff and build positive relationships with pupils is important.

You'll also need:

• A valid DBS certificate or be willing to apply for a new one.

• A flexible approach to working across different primary settings.

• A driver's licence and access to transport is preferred to make travelling between schools easier.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
