Storeman

Barker Ross are currently recruiting for a Storeman to join a metal fabrication firm based in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, practical and has an interest in engineering or manufacturing.

• Pay: 14.84 per hour
• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
• Friday: 07:15 - 13:30
• Overtime: Available Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 08:00, paid at 1.5x
• Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield

As a Storeman, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing deliveries in and out of the site
• Supervising and monitoring the stores area
• Issuing the correct components and materials
• Stock control and monitoring usage
• Managing minimum order quantities and expiry dates
• Using emails and Excel on a day-to-day basis
• Keeping the stores area organised, tidy and efficient
• Supporting with other reasonable duties as required

• Previous stores, warehouse or engineering experience
• General engineering knowledge or experience would be beneficial
• Good computer skills, including email and Excel
• SAP experience is preferred
• Banksman and forklift training would be an advantage
• A willingness to complete forklift/Banksman training if not already qualified
• Organised and tidy with good attention to detail
• Someone who takes pride in their workspace
• Reliable, willing to learn and happy to get stuck in
