Delivery & Collection Driver
Location: Newbury
Job Type: 5 Month Fixed Term Contract
Monday-Friday 7.00am-4.30pm
We are recruiting for a reliable Delivery & Collection Driver to join a busy business in the Newbury area. The role involves delivering chilled and frozen products to customers and collecting wild game from approved suppliers, while maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene and traceability.
The Role
- Deliver customer orders safely and on time, ensuring products are handled and stored at the correct temperatures.
- Collect deer carcasses and wild birds from approved suppliers, checking relevant paperwork and product condition.
- Complete delivery notes, collection records and temperature checks accurately.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain a clean, hygienic load space.
- Follow food safety, health and safety and traceability procedures.
- Assist with general plant duties, loading and unloading when required.
About You
- Full, valid UK driving licence and a safe driving record.
- Previous experience in delivery driving, collections, food distribution or a similar practical role.
- Comfortable with manual handling, chilled environments and working around raw meat and wild game.
- Reliable, organised and confident working independently.
- Good attention to detail and communication skills.
- Flexible to work early starts and additional hours during busy seasonal periods.
Previous experience in food, meat processing, agriculture or refrigerated transport would be advantageous.
