About InverShield
InverShield is part of CMT Group. It makes protective cages and frames that keep equipment safe on solar farms and other customer sites.
Its own team installs them across the UK and Ireland, and that side is growing.
The role
You'll join a small installation team, reporting to the Operations and Project Manager and working with a Lead Installer on site.
Your job: get every cage fitted safely, accurately and to a standard the customer notices.
You'll be the team's eyes on site too. Spot a product problem or a better way of doing things, and it goes straight to the people who can act on it.
What you'll do
You'll:
- Install InverShield cages, frames and fixings to drawings and site standards
- Drive company vans to customer sites across the UK and Ireland
- Load, unload and move products, tools and equipment safely
- Check materials before fitting and report shortages, damage or wrong parts
- Follow site inductions, risk assessments and method statements on every job
- Leave every work area safe and tidy
What you'll bring
Essential:
- A full UK driving licence and confidence driving long distances
- Practical experience with hand tools and power tools
- The ability to travel across the UK and Ireland, including full weeks away
Useful, not essential:
- Construction, fencing, solar, mechanical installation or fabrication experience
- A current CSCS card
- Forklift, telehandler or access equipment experience or tickets
- Experience towing trailers
Training and progression
Full product training from day one, plus scope to step up to Lead Installer or Site Supervisor as the installation side grows.
Working arrangements
Hours vary with site access and travel, so expect some early starts. Regular full weeks away from home when projects need it.
Work is outdoors on solar farms and construction sites, in all weathers. It's physical: lifting, carrying and working on uneven ground.
