We’re looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our friendly team at Mencap in Corby!
From drives out in the car and exploring the local community to cinema trips, coffee shops, meals out and fun activities at home, you’ll help the people we support live their best life!

We’re looking for compassionate Support Workers to join our friendly team in Corby on a part-time or Full time basis. In this rewarding role, you’ll support four adults aged 40–late 70s with learning disabilities to live happy, independent lives.
No two days are the same. You might be helping someone with daily routines, personal care, medication, or mobility support, or enjoying activities together such as arts and crafts, cinema trips, meals out, watching films, or supporting appointments.
What you’ll be doing

Supporting individuals with daily living activities and personal care

Assisting with mobility needs including wheelchairs and hoisting

Supporting people to enjoy social activities and community outings

Providing emotional support and encouragement

Working as part of a supportive team (no lone working)
About the role

Driver preferred (automatic vehicle available)

Sleep-ins required – at least one per week

Shift times may include:

7:15am – 2:15pm

7:30am – 2:30pm
-
2:30pm – 9:30pm
-
During core hours you’ll work alongside three staff members, and two staff overnight, ensuring a supportive environment for both colleagues and the people we support.
