The Opportunity
Aspire People are recruiting enthusiastic tutors in Maths, Science, English and Geography for a school we work with. These are full-time roles supporting students across the lower school, with potential to work with the sixth form too.
There will ideally be one tutor per subject for Maths, Science and English. Geography may be shared or combined with another subject.
This is a great opportunity for recent graduates who want hands-on school experience, whether you're considering teacher training or just want to build your classroom confidence.
About the Role
Deliver tutoring and learning support in your main subject
Be flexible enough to support a second subject where needed
Work with students across a range of year groups and abilities
Help students build confidence, fill gaps in knowledge and make progress
Work closely with school staff and contribute to the school community
Hours
Full-time, Monday to Friday
Fridays are an early finish, 8:00am to 2:00pm
About You
Degree (or nearing completion) in or related to your chosen subject
Confident and able to teach a second subject
Patient, approachable and good at explaining ideas clearly
Reliable, professional and keen to learn
Previous tutoring, mentoring or school experience is welcome but not essential
Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to apply for one
