School Catering Assiatnt

£12.71–£14.00 per hour | Weekly Pay | Monday–Friday | Immediate Start

Berkeley Scott is currently recruiting for a School Catering Assistant in Walsall. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous catering or kitchen porter experience who is looking for regular, weekday work within a school environment.

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join the team and support the smooth running of school catering services.

What you will be doing

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals to pupils and staff.

• Supporting the kitchen team with daily catering duties.

• Washing up and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas.

• Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times.

• Following food allergen procedures to help protect pupils with allergies.

• Travelling between locations where necessary as part of the Catering Assistant role.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Catering Assistant or Kitchen Porter.

• A valid Enhanced DBS check.

• A driving licence is beneficial but not essential, as occasional travel to other locations may be required by the client.

• Food Safety Level 2 certificate, or willingness to obtain.

• Food Allergen Awareness certificate, or willingness to obtain.

• A reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work.

• The ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions.

• Competitive pay of £12.71–£14.00 per hour, depending on experience and assignment.
