About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Finance Manager to join a growing organisation based in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified finance professional to play a key role in financial leadership, business partnering, and strategic decision-making.
Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead the finance function, provide insightful analysis, and ensure robust financial controls while supporting the organisation's continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the finance team, providing coaching and support.
- Oversee month-end and year-end processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Deliver meaningful financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
- Partner with operational and senior stakeholders across the organisation.
- Maintain strong financial controls, governance, and compliance procedures.
- Support annual audits and statutory reporting requirements.
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies across finance operations.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Support strategic projects, business cases, and commercial decision-making.
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a senior finance position, ideally within a complex or growing organisation.
- Strong management accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting expertise.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Commercially aware with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Strong systems skills, including advanced Excel capabilities.
- Experience managing and developing finance teams.
