Roasting Operative

Elevation Recruitment Group is working exclusively with Lincoln & York, the largest private label coffee roaster in the UK. Family owned since 1994, they roast and pack around 10,500 tonnes of coffee a year from more than 40 origins, and their coffee ends up in some of the best known names on the high street.

Lincoln & York have invested heavily in their site and are growing. We are now looking for Roasting Operative to join them on the AM shift.

What you will be doing

• Operate and monitor large roasting machinery, ensuring beans are roasted to the correct specifications.
• Monitor roasting temperatures, timings and processes to maintain consistent product quality.
• Carry out quality checks and ensure all products meet food safety and hygiene standards.
• Keep the roasting area clean, safe and organised, following health and safety procedures and production schedules.

Shift pattern: Monday–Friday, 6am–2pm

Reporting to: Shift Manager

What we are looking for

• Experience operating production machinery within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing or a similar production setting (desirable).
• An understanding of production processes, quality checks and product specifications.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and procedures.
