Stores Team Leader

Stores Team Leader Thetford Permanent Early Finish Fridays Our client, a well–established manufacturer based in Thetford, is looking for an experienced Stores Team Leader to manage its stores operation. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you ll lead a small stores team, be responsible for a wide product range and work closely with Purchasing and Production to keep the business supplied. Key tasks: Leading, motivating and training the stores team, and managing performance through regular reviewsMeeting daily with the Production Manager and Team Leaders to plan requirements and resolve stock or production issuesMaking sure all deliveries are booked in and put away correctly, and all issues are booked out, every dayLiaising daily with Purchasing on orders and keeping the stock and purchasing system accurate Running monthly rolling stock takes efficiently and on timeFollowing quality control procedures and standard operating proceduresOwning health and safety in stores, including risk assessments, weekly audits, accident investigation and making sure equipment is maintained to regulationsSpotting opportunities and driving continuous improvement in stock management systems, processes and controls Experience required: Experience in a stores, stock control or warehouse role Experience leading or supervising a small teamValid forklift licence and forklift experience Full UK driving licence Confident with IT and stock systemsGood communication skillsAttention to detail This is a great opportunity for an experienced stores professional to take the lead in a key department and play an important part in the smooth running of a successful manufacturing business.
