Class 1 Driver

We're looking for a Class 1 Driver to join our team, delivering specialist equipment to customer locations across the UK. This varied role combines professional driving, vehicle loading and securing, and customer-facing deliveries, offering the opportunity to work with specialist trailers, equipment, and machinery.

CONTRACT DETAILS AT A GLANCE

• £34,478.49 per year (40 hour week)
• Permanent (Full-Time)
• Monday to Friday, start times between 04:00-06:00
• Warrington, WA2 8TS
• Overtime Opportunities: Typically around 7 hours per week available
• Supporting the wider operation with occasional nights out and varying delivery schedules as required

Realistic earning potential: £43,529.09

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Delivering specialist equipment and machinery to customer locations across the UK
• Loading, unloading, and securing wheeled equipment using low loaders and curtain-sided vehicles
• Carrying out vehicle and trailer inspections to ensure safe and compliant operation
• Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records
• Supporting the wider operation with occasional nights out and varying delivery schedules as required

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence and have previous commercial driving experience
• Have experience securing wheeled loads, plant machinery, vehicles, or other specialist equipment
• Are confident operating low loaders, curtain-sided trailers, or similar specialist transport equipment
• Have FLT experience or licences (Counterbalance, Reach, PPT, LLOP, HLOP, or Pivot Steer experience would be beneficial, although training can be provided)
• Take pride in safety, professionalism, and delivering a reliable service
