Fleet Administrator

We’re working with an established logistics business in the Felixstowe area that is looking for a Fleet Administrator to join its team.

This is a varied role supporting the day-to day running of the fleet, helping to ensure vehicles and trailers are maintained, compliant and ready for operation. You’ll work closely with the Fleet Supervisor and wider transport team, playing an important part in keeping everything running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate records for company vehicles, trailers and fleet assets.
• Monitoring MOTs, servicing, inspections, insurance and vehicle compliance documentation.
• Coordinating vehicle maintenance, repairs and breakdowns with workshops and suppliers.
• Processing purchase orders and checking fleet-related invoices.
• Recording vehicle defects, repairs and maintenance history, ensuring issues are followed up.
• Supporting driver licence checks, tachograph records and Operator Licence compliance.
• Updating internal systems and handling fleet-related telephone and email enquiries.
• Assisting with vehicle incidents, damage investigations and insurance claims.

What we’re looking for

• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to liaise with drivers, suppliers and colleagues.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Previous experience in transport, logistics or fleet administration would be advantageous, alongside an understanding of container haulage and fleet compliance.

What’s on offer?

• Salary of £34,000 per annum.
• Full-time, office-based position.
• Monday to Friday working hours, 7:30am – 5:30pm.
