General Operatives

Berry Recruitment are looking for a General Operative to support a client in King's Lynn.

You will be responsible in maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of the production facility and ensuring a clean, hazard-free environment. You will be performing essential preventative maintenance on high-spec laser machinery and press equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the canopy area to ensure smooth logistical flow.
• Ensure all bins are emptied regularly and that working areas are kept free of scrap metal and general rubbish.
• Use industrial vacuums to clean machine roofs and perform wash-downs of the external surfaces of lasers and press brakes.
• Clean slats to remove buildup, preventing damage to parts. Identify and replace deformed or notched slats.
• Clear small metal cutouts and dust shuttle table tracks to prevent mechanical jams.
• Work closely with the Production Coordinator to align maintenance tasks with the production schedule.

The ideal candidate should be:

• Self motivated and focused.
• Able to work under their own initiative.
• Committed to keeping the equipment and surrounding areas clean and clear.

You will be working Monday to Friday, 3pm until midnight.

The pay rate is 14.00 per hour.

Must be available to start immediately.

This is a temporary position with the opportunity to go permanent.
