Maintenance Operative

We are recruiting for an experienced Labourer or Maintenance Operative to join a social housing maintenance team covering Ashford and surrounding areas in Kent. This is a temp to perm position carrying out basic repairs, maintenance, and external grass cutting / strimming. You will be working within occupied and void residential properties. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality workmanship while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Key Responsibilities Carrying out basic carpentry repairs, including adjusting or repairing doors, locks, handles, hinges, skirting boards and kitchen units. Completing minor maintenance and general repair work within occupied and void social housing properties. Undertaking basic patch repairs and making good following maintenance work. Cutting grass and using strimmers to maintain gardens, communal areas and external spaces. Clearing garden waste, debris and unwanted materials from properties. Assisting skilled tradespeople with larger repair and refurbishment works when required. Requirements Previous experience working within repair and maintenance Previous experience working with the general public Ability to carry out basic domestic repairs.
