About the role
A well-established business in Leicester is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their supportive finance team. This role offers fantastic exposure to transactional finance and month-end processes, making it an ideal step for someone looking to build a long-term career.
Key Responsibilities:Managing purchase and sales ledgers, processing invoices, and handling credit control
Setting up supplier payments, banking allocations, and company expenses
Assisting with month-end close activities, VAT returns, and audit queries
Maintaining intercompany reconciliations and providing general team support
AAT qualified/studying, degree qualified, or equivalent experience
Good Excel skills (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs)
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Proactive, curious mindset with a strong desire to learn
