Courier Driver

Pegasus Couriers is recruiting self-employed multi-drop delivery drivers for routes across Carlisle, Cumbria and the Scottish Borders. Drivers can earn £171 to £191 per day through a base route rate and area supplements linked to delivery territory and parcel volume, with gross payments made weekly.
The network covers Carlisle city and suburbs, Penrith, Kendal, Dumfries, Selkirk, Ulverston, Distington, the Lake District and parts of Dumfries and Galloway including Kirkcudbright. Routes operate Monday to Saturday, average about nine hours and can include 60 to 250 parcels; drivers normally go home after the final drop and return undelivered items at the next morning collection.

New drivers receive a one-day training session covering the delivery application, scanner use, safe loading and route procedures. Couriers can use a suitable own van with the required commercial cover or discuss a rental vehicle package; route supplements, business fuel arrangements and planned weekly zones help drivers manage costs and working time.

Apply if you hold a full UK or EU driving licence with fewer than six penalty points, have UK work authorisation, can register as a sole trader and can pass a basic DBS check. No previous multi-drop experience is required, and the combination of weekly pay, paid training, broad route choice and vehicle options offers a direct start in parcel delivery around Carlisle and Cumbria.
