Financial Controller

As a Financial Controller in Bracknell, you will oversee the day-to-day financial control work for a retail business and keep accounting activity accurate and well organised. You will help the Accounting & Finance department provide clear financial information that supports sound business decisions.

Description

• Oversee daily financial control activities to maintain accurate and timely accounting records.
• Prepare regular financial reports that give the business a clear view of financial performance.
• Review financial data and investigate variances to improve the quality of reporting.
• Maintain strong financial processes and controls across the Accounting & Finance department.
• Coordinate month-end activities to ensure information is complete and available when needed.
• Work with colleagues across the business to gather financial information and resolve queries.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activity with reliable financial data and insight.
• Present financial information clearly to help leaders make informed decisions.

Profile

A successful 'Financial Controller' should have:

• Experience in financial control and management reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting processes and financial reporting.
• Ability to review financial data, identify variances and resolve issues.
• Experience of coordinating month-end reporting activities.
• Confidence working with colleagues across finance and wider business teams.
• Clear communication skills when presenting financial information.

Job Offer

• Permanent Financial Controller position.
• Salary of £75,000 to £80,000, dependent on the level of experience.
