Connex Education is currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young people, managing classroom behaviour, and helping students stay engaged with their learning.

The Role:

• Supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
• Delivering pre-planned lesson materials and ensuring students remain on task.
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Supporting students with their learning and encouraging participation.
• Following school policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive classroom.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour where required.

We are particularly looking for educators who are happy to do day to day cover!

✨ The Ideal Candidate:

• Has experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.
• Has strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Is confident leading a classroom and engaging students.
• Is adaptable, organised, and able to think on their feet.
• Can build positive relationships with students and school staff.
• Holds, or is willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check.
• Has a genuine interest in education and helping young people succeed.
